About project
Teledoc is a telemedicine web and mobile applications for the central European market. The product enables easy access to private healthcare through video consultations, prescriptions, and health records.
the app features
The app have 2 main features: immediate call to GP (urgent cases where needed help) and booking a call with a specific specialist for consultation (searching for a specialist with a variety of smart filters). Additionally, in the app, the users can manage the booked appointments, their own medical documents, and visit reports.
accessible design
For the visual app design direction, the task was to do some warm and trustworthy visual style that should be easy to read and navigate even to older users (~30% of users). We used expressive design elements, pleasant graphic solutions and developed a virtual assistant that helps to accomplish different user scenarios in most important cases.
the outcome
x10
amount of users
In 10 times, users have increased from 5,000 users last year to more than 59,000 after the launch of the apps with the new design. The percentage of involved users that are ready to pay and use the app has much increased.

Sign up screen.
design solution
We decided to start to advertise the app features even from this step. The idea was to force the users to create account for receiveing important benefits.
Onboarding flow of new users.
design solution
For doctors, having some sort of information about the patient is crucial. We decided to gather it during registration by implemented a very simple onboarding flow. It takes 1 minute now but remove a lot of no needed steps in future.
The first screen for new users.
data proven solution
Previous experience said that most of the new users sign up in the app and want to accomplish the main goal: book a time or immediately speak with a specialist. That is why for new users, we decided to show this CTA banner.
A/B test proved us right: the version with this banner showed better results in converting a potential user to a lead (purchasing).
The main screen of the app.
why to look like this?
First of all, we thought about accessibility. If we are talking about WCAG standards, the blocks like this show the best results and pass all requirements. Big texts and clickable areas, blocks architecture is highlighted, the most important at the top.
View of closed main menu.
just a bonus
For advanced users, we added a collapsable main menu to focus more on the app content. The observation shows that 1/3 of users prefer to use an app with a collapsed menu. Not very important, but a pleasant feature.
A specialist searching screen.
design solution
On this screen, we have added the ”Next available time” of each specialist so the user can click on a convenient time just from this screen and book a call (in comparison with a situation when the user needs to dive into details screen of specific specialist and only after that continue to booking). With this solution, we removed one extra step and made booking the call much quicker and easier.
The screen of preparing before the call.
the context
It is crucial for the patient to be prepared before the call with a doctor. Teledoc provides only live video calls, so user's microphone and video camera should work properly before the meeting. That's why we create a screen where user can make sure that everything works well.
A waiting room when calling to GP.
design solution
Technically in Teledoc, the average waiting time when a user call to GP is take about 3 mins. So, we decided to add some interesting facts, and jokes to the waiting screen to entertain the user while they wait.
The screen of calling with the doctor.
The screen of pricing plans appears when the user spends all free calls.
Health manager screen.
design solution
On this screen, we also placed the features that are not released yet. With this approach, the users can see what will come in the future and will be warmed up to new features.
Just a 404 page. It's a good tone of voice to have it.
